Overview

Divine Chocolate set out to make their online bundles feel more than just transactional - aiming for something gift-worthy, memorable, and aligned with the care that goes into every bar. To enhance the unboxing experience, tasting note booklets were introduced to accompany each bundle. Since then, the partnership has grown to include trade advertising to support Divine's push into independent retail.

Role

The project involved the creation of tasting guides that complemented Divine's tone of voice and visual identity. This included layout design, iconography, and a flexible format that could be adapted for future collections. More recently, this extended to designing trade press advertising for publications including Cotswold Fayre, Essential, Suma, and Speciality Food - supporting the launch of Divine's refreshed brand identity.

Challenge

The objective was to create added value without overwhelming the customer. The booklets needed to be compact, easy to understand, and clearly communicate tasting notes - while also reflecting the brand's premium, ethical positioning. The trade advertising presented a different challenge: communicating Divine's new look confidently to buyers and retailers in a competitive space.

Solution

Each booklet breaks down flavour, texture, and tasting notes using a simple, icon-led system for quick, at-a-glance understanding. The cover design features a striped motif inspired by Divine's textured packaging and distinctive colour palette. Existing illustrations from Divine's visual library were incorporated to bring the booklets to life and maintain consistency with the brand's established style. The trade ads carried the same considered approach - clean, purposeful, and aligned with the bold new direction developed by Wildish & Co.
